Embarking on our journey as new Airbnb hosts, we quickly recognized a challenge that many in our position face – the inevitable unavailability to personally meet every guest. This led us to ponder an alternative key handover method, one that didn't involve relying on others or bombarding our guests with intricate instructions.

Our apartment's location within a body corporate complex added an extra layer of complexity to this puzzle. However, a breakthrough moment occurred when we pinpointed the one consistent and private space accessible to both us and our guests – the mailbox.

The mailbox, standing stoically at the entrance of our property, presented itself as the ideal solution. It became clear that this unassuming yet secure compartment could be the key to resolving our key handover challenges. With the mailbox serving as a common ground exclusive to us and our guests, the vision for CondoKey's lockable mailbox insert materialized.
